My forecast is that rates go back down in Rocktober, 5 year closed 3%.
My forecast is that it's a real busy Autumn for real estate sales.
My forecast is that vacancy rates will go down, down, down.
My forecast is that rents may go down slightly but unaffordability will go up.
My forecast is that my realtor buddies will continue to make great $$$commis$h.
My forecast is that Huffers will still be mad come 2014. :P

why do you guys even listen to the "huffers"? you guys seem to have a little bit of an obsession... f.a.w.k. who cares what someone else thinks... except for those that want validation or a pat on the back. like the dim sum cook down the street... always wants everyone to tell him how great his disgusting food is.
The irony!!!!!!

Achieved because sales and inventory are almost back to normal. Just a little more. The economy goes into a bull cycle. RE market returned to normal (Even prime Ireland is starting to sprint) And, we'll be back to the GOOD TIMES. GOOD TIMES!!!!

HaHaHHHaaaaHHHAA

The bulls win. The bears need to hide. Anyone wanna change their forecast?

Funny stuff; if I owned a condo I don't think I'd call the past five years "winning".
There is no shame in overpaying

If I was renting over the past five years I wouldn't call it 'winning' either.... unless, of course, I was the landlord.

A hypothetical DP conservatively invested would disagree. If the comparison is risk-free OTOH...

the forecast calls for awesome mountains and oceans, grouse grinds, CFL and seawalls,

low wages, pitiful career opportunity, no big companies no industry, constant cold rain,
unfriendly people, and Vancouver's infamous toxic social environment

Why do you hate on the CFL so much? It's affordable fun! Of course everything else you list is free...

I have some great friends here. I laugh when all the Debbie downers complain about the attitude of people in Vancouver. Pot, kettle and so on...

Vancouver's infamous toxic social environment
You need to find out where Timber hangs out....Seems like they might be pretty friendly there, lots of group activities....

Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you

And always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the right side of life

With special thanks to Eric Idle and Monty Python).

HaHa!

Rouhini becomes a turncoat!

http://www.cnbc.com/id/101055732

'Dr. Doom' Roubini makes case FOR the US economy

Nouriel Roubini may have made his name foretelling doom and gloom, but his tone has changed enough to reflect an improbable belief in a stronger U.S. economy.

In fact, the word "crisis" or any of its synonyms was missing almost entirely from a speech the head of Roubini Global Economics delivered Monday at IndexUniverse's Inside Commodities conference.

Roubini did use the term "anemic" on multiple occasions to describe the global economic recovery.

But he maintained that the U.S. will be better positioned than most of its global competitors, leading to an appreciation in its currency, no bond market crash and only a gradual increase in interest rates...
