August 2015 Stats = Hot Summer Nights. ;)

Competition continues to drive Metro Vancouver’s housing market! Metro Vancouver* home buyers spent the summer months searching for their next home. Between June and August, home sales were between 25 and 30 per cent above the ten-year sales average. The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV...

Dude cost some of his 'clients' a fortune... and a potential lawsuit... if they indeed did listen to his wisdom. Kids these days.

Re: Renters are getting hammered too...

We currently have a 630 sq ft 1 bed for sale at Main/7th that rents for $1885 a month. Tenants are begging me to sell to an investor so they can stay. Crazy rents these days.

Re: Ninety-five per cent of the buyers are now from China

The sad thing about this is that Vancouver/Burnaby is being sold out to China. Harper doesn't give a F&*X about us Canadians (similar to what Kanye said about Bush back in the early oo's). Stop foreign investors and speculators, stop the buying frenzy from china! How? How about a solution? Would lo...

Re: Vancouver: Young people fleeing the west side

I would prefer any kids of mine to mix with kids from affluent neighbourhoods rather than with the grubby offspring of life's losers, regardless of their racial origins. You presumably prefer your kids to enjoy the company of the less successful and lower educated members of the racial groups you m...

Re: How many are there FSBO websites ??

These advertisements should be used in a training course on how to NOT sound as desperate as this owner when selling real estate. If I was a buyer it would make me scream and run away.

Re: Like I said, game over.

But aside from the price, I find the buyer curious. Why look at a 1.5 house when you are prepared to spend 2.2? Shouldn't they have been viewing homes in the 2 range? The buyer wasn't mine but I'm sure it's one of those cases where they had lost out on previous weekends and just decided to swing fo...

Re: Like I said, game over.

Re: Main Street + Olympic Village is the new West End

The changes west of Main from Terminal to Broadway have been amazing. Took my kids & mother-in-law for a walk from Quebec/7th to Science World/sea wall and around path to casino area. They loved it. Paths were packed w people.
