Re: TREB vs Competition Bureau on Real Estate Data (sold pri

1word. Negotiations. Why do the haters always leave this out. Case in point, just did a deal before we left. The homeowner, a great guy, tells me he has vast experience negotiating. He tells me he can out negotiate any realtor. Fine. We move on. The day of offers comes. We get 4. I ask him what he w...

Re: What to do NOW?

15 years ago we didn't have HGTV either. EVERYONE wants to renovate, flip, hold, whatever. As an example, 10 yrs ago typical buyers didn't ask too many questions. Now? 'Draintile, electrical panel, vermiculite, asbestos tape, knob and tube, oil tank.....' The buyers have incredibly detailed question...

Re: TREB vs Competition Bureau on Real Estate Data (sold pri

Yeah, right. No monopoly. That's why TREB isn't working so hard to keep sold data out of the hands of the public. Gee! If nothing is going to change and life is all good and realtors jobs aren't dependent on controlling the data, than just cough it up. Don't worry about it! Bad news for you. Toront...

Re: TREB vs Competition Bureau on Real Estate Data (sold pri

There are TONS of stratas who do not allow public access to their documents. Is it written in their bylaws? How do they regulate this? Strata agent only gives access to people with their face on bus benches? You should come to one of our mandatory legal update or strata documentation professional d...

Re: TREB vs Competition Bureau on Real Estate Data (sold pri

Final submissions in the case are set to take place in Ottawa on November 2! God, I hope they finally start to bust up this freaking monopoly. Nah, the monopoly lives on. In the US, people have access to this data, but Realtors are still prevalent and rates are still high. The biggest reason: Buyer...

Re: TREB vs Competition Bureau on Real Estate Data (sold pri

Frankly, any realtor who argues this point is just undermining his or her credibility. Sure wish the Competition Bureau would hurry up and smack these fools down. It's only been, what, 15 years? Frankly, anyone who talks about 'smacking fools down' undermines his or her credibility to point of bein...

Re: TREB vs Competition Bureau on Real Estate Data (sold pri

Actually, strata documents are available to the public, you just have to pay for it. https://www.estratahub.com/ordering.html it's usually x cents/pg. Anyone with an email address can sign up and order these documents. For solds, even AFTER the deal has been COMPLETED, the public can't see this inf...

Re: TREB vs Competition Bureau on Real Estate Data (sold pri

Realtors will go on and on and on and talk forever about this. Facts are very very simple and straightforward though. This is not a privacy issue. Lol. You obviously did not think through that comment whatsoever. Ask the majority of strata owner if they want to have THEIR Minutes, Financials, Form ...

Re: Vancouver indvidual property sales details

Heading into the Sept months I expect a lot more listings to come up. Usually Spring & Fall have the sellers list their homes in full force.

The problem here is the amount of buyers waiting for these listings is massive. Every realtor I know has 5-10 + buyers.

Crazy!
