Highrise condos in Surrey Central are hot...One has to write a clean offer with 20k above asking price if he consider himself as a serious buyer these days.

The area is great, 40 mins skytrain to downtown water front. Prices are attractive, such as $410 k for a Bosa brand new unit, 2 br 1.5 bath, 700 sf, 32 floor, unblocked view,  $240 condo fee, heat and hot water included, $1650/m for the rent, 2.6% mortgage rate for 5 years. Jim, tell me why should I care of market up and down everyday like you? I bought quite few there this year, by the way, Wave is great.

Are you happy now Jimmy after my story?

so there are clean offers, bully offers, lowball offers. are there dirty offers?

3009 Laurel St  1084sq ft
699 sold 841k 4/3/2017

3001 Laurel St 942sq ft (13% smaller)
789 sold 885k 5/15/2017 (5% more)

Same strata same complex. Both end units. I went to both opens. lots of local buyers on these things. Seems either downsizers (older people), or young families buying with parents help (only assuming b/c lots of late 30's early 40's couples bringing parents along).

given that we don't  have majority, i think NDP/Green and Liberal would have to be somewhat aligned with each other anyway.

Seems I struck a nerve.
You must be part of the riff-raff Im referring to.
Bet you dont pay taxes here either.
Greedy blood suckers that take and never make a contrubution

Haha... eye, Yes, I am the part of riffraff you referring, but me and my wife just paid ROC near 1/2 m tax this year.

That's funny - I don't know what's funnier, that you think anybody believes you paid 1/2 tax this year or that you actually convinced someone to marry you - LOL
Nice try bud

You can't keep your story straight.... I am sure you bought "quite a few" condos ...
by the way, whatever happened to your boyfriends whipmaster and thinktom.  We all know that thinktom has failed at trying to become famous and at being a realtor.... wonder what is next on his hit list of failures

remember when harahomes was trying to convince everyone that market had returned to the top:

6563 Charles St. sold for $3.21M in July 2016.  8,052 sq ft lot and 3 year old home.

6538 Chares St. sold for $3.038M in May 2017. 8,174 sq ft lot and 2 year old home.

So the newer home and a smaller lot sold for 175K less in 9 months.

The market is on fire in surrey for townhouses and condo's.  My townhouse is up 50 percent since we bought last april.   Rancher's and older house's going for a million in surrey now.  Krazy Krazy Krazy.  I think this is the top tho, starting this winter slow down and next spring will bring prices down.
