Olympic rental/furnishing services

Postby nico101 on Fri Nov 20, 2009 11:46 am

I have a house near commercial drive which is losing it's tenants for the upper 2 floors on Dec 1st. I still have the basement suite tenants though. Given the timing I'm considering the whole Olympic rental thing. I will be quite busy for the next little while so I'm wondering if there any companies that will do all the leg work including temporarily furnishing the house?

Thanks,
n

Don't bother, anyone who wants a place for the Olympics already has one - and there weren't many interested in the first place.

But if you insist you can get in line with the other 20,000 people still hoping for a big score in February.

Call Disney, they'll send a team of magical singing mice over to spruce the place right up. Plus, you get to go to the ball and meet a prince.

If it's already furnished, it will be worthwhile, but spending the money to furnish it will eat up most of the extra rent.

Wow...that is just so mean--but funny--darn you. I'm appalled but LOL at the same time. My sister has had her place with a jaw dropping view in West Van, listed for a month or two....nada. The market is WAY oversupplied.

Those singing mice are awesome - I've used them before.

They left my place fucking spotless!

I did the math and it didn't make sense even if I could rent it out.

i was considering renting out the lower floor of my home until I realized that one of the cruise lines will be docked in North Vancouver. It includes the usual all you can eat food, entertainment, cleaning, etc you'd expect from a cruise ship. all for the starting price of $349 per night. there were hundreds of rooms available around september. i figured why would anyone want to stay in my basement for $500 per night when they can be wined and dined on a ship for only $349

Cause they are dumb or unaware?

From all reports it seems like the ones who lined up deals early are going to do Ok.

Yup. My mom is getting 15k for her 2br at Broadway and Granville from an agency. This means the agency is getting even more. She signed up a year ago though.
