I really don't understand what it he issue with Alberta?  Last I checked NDP doesn't set the price of oil.  Also - last I checked, the NDP didn't put all of Alberta's economic eggs into one basket over the past few decades.  I actually get a good laugh out of Alberta.

+1
The conservatives squandered the oil royalties, and depleted the Heritage Fund. Clearly bankrupt ideologically and fiscally. Notley inherited the mother of all messes.

Notley hasn't done herself any favours, mishandling a number of issues, like the Fort Mac Fires, the Carbon Tax, Royalty reviews, running 10B deficits and leading the province into a bigger mess than before.  Ultimately the conservative paid the price for aligning with the Wildrose party.  Yes she was left with a flaming bag of SH&#, but she hasn't fixed any of it, only made it worse.

The huge loss of Christy Clark in the suburbs is a sign of incompetence, and desperation.

"Election results suggest Christy Clark misread popularity of Uber

... Most taxi licences are held by people of South Asian ancestry and the vast majority of drivers trace their roots back to the Indian state of Punjab.

Fassbender was the chief government salesperson of this idea. He ended up with less than 36 percent of the vote in his constituency.

The B.C. Liberals naively assumed that by backing ride-sharing, they were going to win the support of millennials. Most of them despise the party for its refusal to take climate change seriously and for presiding over the biggest housing-price increases in provincial history.

In the B.C. Liberals' imaginations, they might have even thought that their Uber promise would help them defeat David Eby in Vancouver–Point Grey or George Heyman in Vancouver–Fairview.

Eby won his seat by 4,765 votes and Heyman won by 5,476 votes. These two constituencies used to be held by B.C. Liberals before Christy Clark returned to provincial politics. They show how far the party's popularity has fallen in Vancouver..."

You are what you say. Poink

Christy Clark was so busy with photo ops that she forgot about the essentials of a government.

"Portables, patients and the Port Mann Bridge: How the NDP conquered Surrey

... "I think there was this feeling that we were being ignored by the provincial government. We thought we were paying an unnecessary tax [bridge tolls] that other residents of the province weren't expected to pay, so it had a tremendous impact on the voters south of the Fraser."

Kwantlen Polytechnic University Professor Shinder Purewal says nothing gets Surrey residents more fired up than tolls...."

Irrelevant, poink.

"Martyn Brown: Bold strokes for change in British Columbia

... Regardless, some 57 percent voted for change, including the 39.86 percent of the electorate who voted for the NDP and the record-breaking 16.75 percent who voted for the Greens.

As things stand, it will be tough to envision how Christy Clark can form a viable government without the support of Andrew Weaver’s new three-member Green caucus.

Even if the B.C. Liberals do manage to flip the NDP’s current nine-point victory in Courtenay-Comox, to win a bare 44-seat majority of the 87-seat legislature, they will not be able to govern long. Not if the NDP and Greens stand together..."
