What an idiot. Still doesn't read his own links.

"he decrease wasn’t coming from within the City of Vancouver itself, however, as vacancy actually increased slightly in Vancouver alone. In the Downtown/West End area, the rate increased from 0.5% to 0.6%. In the rest of the city, the rate grew from 0.6% to 0.8%.

The region’s tightening vacancy rate was driven by declining availability in the suburbs, and the most drastic drop was found in Surrey. Last October, that city had an apartment vacancy rate of 1.9%; this year, the rate plunged to 0.4%."

Chase your unicorns in Surrey!!!!!!  :!:

Well here we go with price predictions already in place for a 2017 decline:

http://vancouversun.com/business/real-e ... =050c-ce60

Actually, the most accurate thing mentioned in the article:

“It’s a beautiful part of the country, it’s a vibrant city with a strong, diverse economy — it makes sense it’s more expensive,” Soper said. “It just shouldn’t be rising at 30 percent a year. That’s where you cross the line into insanity.”

I'd hate to be a realtor... or somebody that extended at the peak because they were panicked.

I don't see tdma's posts anymore because... you seen one of them, you seen them all... so they are on ignore.

But I find it cute that tdma is always the first to reply to any message - I suppose that their career isn't going as well as they would have hoped so they spend the entire day waiting for RET posts to reply to. LOL

Probably one of those types that comments on Vancouver Sun stories and Facebook posts about real estate also... I know the type.  LOL  - must be busy at the office these days eh

Once in a while someone will say incomes matter. They don't unless you're going for anything but a conventional down payment

Right. Vancouver is full of rich first time buyers. :)

Meanwhile, things are changing...

"Canada limits the number of privately sponsored Syrian refugee applicants in 2017

'We are in shock and dismay,' says sponsor scrambling to fundraise, finish paperwork

... after the Canadian government revealed that in 2017 there will be cap of 1,000 new applicants under a particular type of private sponsorship."

Might be some bogus applicants coming in privately. Better to let fed govt control this. Good move
