"Bedroom community West Vancouver could soon be waking up to business, density

...  the largest year-over-year decrease of any B.C. municipality with over 15,000 people — but the District's manager of economic development says that's no surprise.

Stephen Mikicich says with no industry, little business infrastructure, an aging population and sky-high housing costs, things will need to change for the community to remain viable.."

Educated people look at the big picture, and the health of the community. Affordability and rent-ability are important issues for real people.

Intelligent people know that empty homes dont use city services that are still taxed at the same rate. And higher prices keep taxes lower for everyone else

Its official...

"Vancouver’s Empty Mansions Highlight Middle-Class Housing Woes

Vancouver’s multimillion-dollar homes are increasingly out of reach for Vancouverites. And nothing speaks to the Canadian city’s affordability crisis more than its empty houses.

Vacant or temporarily occupied dwellings have more than doubled since 2001 to 66,719 last year as neighborhoods are hollowing out, said Andy Yan, director of Simon Fraser University’s City Program, who analyzed census data for Metro Vancouver released Wednesday. Observers worry the trend will undermine Canada’s fastest-growing regional economy..."

We should create a"tdma troll free thread" where everyone can have rational discussions about the real estate market.
He has taken over all of the threads on this blog.

This is a great idea, better yet, everyone should just add him to the foe list to ignore him.
The guy is begging for attention, I truly do feel sad for this person. Who has the time to post everyday and on the hour? Likely someone with no family or life outside of the internet. It will be best for him if we all put him in ignore, it might push him to go outside and do something more meaningful with his life. I hope it's not too late for him to recover, it will be a tough battle since he has been trolling for years here, it will be a life changing event should he chose to step outside and do something more meaningful with his life. Maybe even make real friends.
I'm going to do this now  :D
